Halstead, Kent

Nestled between London and the M25, Halstead is a parish of Sevenoaks, Kent. A predominantly green belt village with an understated history of fruit picking. Derived from old English, Halstead means safe place of refuge.

The Railway

Knockholt railway station is actually in Halstead. Opened in the 1860s everyone confused it with Halstead in Essex so they renamed the station to Knockholt after the village which is actually some five miles away.
