We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to work as part of a design team on a number of projects in our Seattle office. The hired candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and assist with various aspects.
Job responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Work under nominal supervision taking responsibility for definable parts of the project
• Undertake electrical systems design, predominantly for building projects, including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems
• Design and calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
• Prepare and review drawings detailing the design
• Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings
• Create/prepare reports
• Coordinate work with Clients and Engineers of other disciplines
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals as they relate to building systems.
• PE desired
• At least 4 years related experience
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of Revit, AGI32, SKM, and other technical software
• Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
• Excellent qualities in written, verbal, and presentation communication with colleagues and clients of all levels
• Strong interest in other design disciplines, eager to learn about the interactions between them in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
• Experience in one or more of the following areas an advantage: post-secondary, high rise commercial, healthcare, sports facilities.
